French nobleman who served as secretary of state for foreign affairs, naval minister (1761-1766), and minister of war (1766-1770) under Louis XV, particularly influential during the Seven Years' War.
Summary:
Information on the British navy sent by Choiseul to the duc de Nivernais, French ambassador to London, around the end of the Seven Years' War.
