Described by Miller as [The second edition], the first 46 pages having been reset. Otherwise identical with the edition dated 1739 (Evans 4453, Miller 180) which was also published in 1740.
"The end of the first volume."--p. 252. A second volume published by Franklin in 1740 (Evans 4633; Miller 215) has title: A continuation of the Reverend Mr. Whitefield's journal during the time he was detained in England, by the embargo.
