Opening lines: A small pamphlet was published some little time since, intitled Dr. Gardiner versus James Flagg, in which a representation of the proceedings of the referees (to whom the case had been committed by a rule of court) was so fairly and impartially stated, that as no reply could be justly made, so it was imagined none would have been attempted.
