- American Antiquarian Society copy is filled out in manuscript to Henry Pendleton, Aedanus Burke, Thomas Heyward, and John Fauchereaud Grimke, upon their appointment as justices of the peace; dated March 31, 1783, and signed by Benjamin Guerard and John Vanderhorst, secretary, each of whom had held office only since Feb. 1783.
