"Voted, that it is the opinion of this Committee [i.e., the Massachusetts Committee of Safety], that the recantations of these persons be accepted ..." The six were among the thirty-three Marblehead residents who signed an address to Gov. Thomas Hutchinson which appeared in the May 31, 1774, issue of the Essex gazette.
Daniel Kneeland of Boston printed at this address in 1775.
