"An act for apportioning and assessing a tax of thirteen thousand pounds in bills of credit of the new form and tenor; and also for apportioning and assessing a further tax of nine hundred seventy four pounds sixteen shillings and six pence in bills of said form and tenor, paid the representatives for their service and attendance in General Court and travel, anno one thousand seven hundred and thirty seven; and also for apportioning and assessing a further tax in said bills of the new tenor of one hundred pounds, as a fine laid on the several towns particularly in this act mentioned, for not sending a representative." Passed June 28, 1738.
