- Advertised in the New York gazette and weekly Mercury, Oct. 8, 1770.
- Two states noted. In one, the account of "A very cheap and lasting varnish" on leaf B2 recto comprises 11 lines of type (including the title). In the other it comprises 14 lines, due to the addition of a sentence to the text. The forms for A4 recto and B1 recto have been adjusted to accommodate the addition.
