Notes:
"Subscriptions are taken in, by the booksellers ... and by the editor, Jack North-Wester, living at the sign of the White-Oak, in Heart-of-Oak-Street." Evans attributes the proposals and another pamphlet (Evans 10339), printed for the pseudonymous Jack Northwester, to Isaac Hunt, author of several political essays attacking the proprietary government of Pennsylvania.
Dated from inscription on recto of American Antiquarian Society copy: 1st of 8ber 1766. Ascribed to the press of Andrew Steuart, of Philadelphia, by Evans.
Although the proposals state that the whole will be published before the first day of October, 1767, there is no evidence that the work was ever issued.
