The second of three issues of this work without change of title page identified by J.F. Sachse, who dates this issue [1749]. See his "The music of the Ephrata Cloister." Pennsylvania German Society Proceedings 12 (1903): 46-49. "About two-thirds of the hymns were contibuted by Conrad Beissel."
The Vorrede ueber die Sing-Arbeit, an original treatise on harmony, is attributed to Beissel by Sachse.
