- Notes:
- Evans attributed this almanac to Benjamin West, as he did nearly all of those published under the Bickerstaff pseudonym. The eclipse predictions, however, are an expanded version, with identical calculations, of those in the New England almanack and gentleman's and lady's diary by "Edmund Freebetter," the pseudonym of Nathan Daboll, published at New London. On the calendar pages, the calculations for the moon, and one third of the astronomical and horological notes, duplicate those in Daboll. The calculations for the sun and tides, and some of those in the notes, have been adjusted. The present almanac is apparently a version by Daboll for the meridian of Boston.
- It was also printed at Hartford by Bavil Webster, with the same contents, in two identical versions: as Bickerstaff's New England almanack, and as Father Abraham's New England almanack. Evans attributed the latter to David Rittenhouse.
