Summary:
Khandakas (rules of conduct and ritual readings for Theravada Buddhist monks) copied in a late 19th- or early 20th-century manuscript probably commissioned to be presented to a monastery when a son entered the novitiate or was ordained as a monk. Leaves of folded cloth with red lacquer and silver leaf and black lacquered lettering in 6 lines per leaf. Covers of wood with beveled edges, decorated with gold and red lacquer.
