Summary:
The drawings by Italian master Andrea del Verrocchio and two of his pupils, Francesco di Simone Ferruci and Lorenzo di Credi, collected in this volume pay tribute to one of the most prestigious art workshops in Florence during the 15th century, the same workshop where Leonardo da Vinci and Sandro Botticelli began their training. Included here are selections that reveal exceptional artistic talent and utilize a variety of imagery and techniques. A critical introduction to this artistic group as well as biographical information about each featured artist accompany the high-quality drawing reproductions.
