- Summary:
- Writer and filmmaker Meyer Levin returned to Israel in 1977 to find out what had become of Jews whose journey to the shores of Palestine, under the watchful eyes of the British, he had recorded thirty years earlier in The Illegals (62548). His attempt to locate the Holocaust survivors who had left Europe after World War II, trekking across snow- covered mountains and boarding overcrowded ships to reach the land of Israel, resulted in this follow-up film documenting the lives of those who had participated in one of the most gripping episodes in Israel's history. Contains footage from Levin's 1948 production.
