- Vols. 1-3 have special title-pages only. The "Inventarium" is frequently bound with one of the three vols. and has special t.p. which reads: Inuentoriu[m] eoru[m] que in operibus Gersonis continentur.
- Frequently found with a fourth part printed by Martin Flach, the younger, in 1502.

- The works are divided into a hundred sections with printed numbers on upper corner, and these again into subsections, marked alphabetically for indexing.
- Full-page woodcut (from the 1488 Strasbourg ed.) in all three vols. on verso of t.p. depicting Gerson as a pilgrim, walking to the right followed by his dog, and carrying a staff in his left hand and a shield (showing the seven planets and with a winged heart on which is inscribed a tau) slung over his right arm. In the background, a castle is to Gerson's left and a tree to his right. Cf. Schreiber, W.L. Manuel de l'amateur de la gravure sur bois, no. 4104.
- "Epistola Io. gerson ad fratre[m]" and 17 hexameters describing the woodcut illustration plus "Co[m]pendiosa laus" on leaf a2.

- Vol. 1 has the autograph of Henry Charles Lea, dated 1869, and two early ownership inscriptions on t.p.: "Liber Magistri Arnolfi [illegible] de Mergenthem [illegible] Argentini [com]p[ar]at[us] Anno Salutis 1494" and "Sum D. Ottonis [illegible]." Early ms. notes in Latin on margins of leaves g7-8, h1, and k2-4; illegible ms. note on lower margin of leaf e8 verso; English ms. note on leaf l6, probably by Lea.
- Vol. 1 has a bookseller's description of another ed. of this title pasted on front pastedown.
- Library's copy given to the University of Pennsylvania Library in 1925 by the family of Henry Charles Lea (1825-1909).
- Vol. 1 bound in early vellum over boards; blind tooled with four fillet borders and floral designs; remains of two metal and leather clasps; three raised bands on spine; single endbands. Author's name written on fore-edge and top edge; title written on front cover.
- Library's copy has numerous wormholes, some affecting text, primarily in early gatherings and covers.
