- The works are divided into a hundred sections with printed numbers on upper corner, and these again into subsections, marked alphabetically for indexing.
- Full-page woodcut in all three vols. on verso of t.p. depicting Gerson as a pilgrim, walking to the right followed by his dog, and carrying a staff in his right hand and a shield (showing the seven planets and with a winged heart on which is inscribed a tau) slung over his left arm. In the background, a castle is on the left and a tree on the right. This is a different version of the woodcut used in the Strasbourg 1488 edition. Cf. Schreiber, W.L. Manuel de l'amateur de la gravure sur bois, no. 4102.

- Vol. 3 imperfect: title leaf with woodcut ill. on verso wanting. Leaves 2C2 and 2G5 torn at lower corner with no loss of text.
- Library's copy given to the University of Pennsylvania Library in 1925 by the family of Henry Charles Lea (1825-1909).
- Library's copy has an early ownership inscription of the Carmelites of Heilbronn ("F.F. Carmel: Hailbron.") on leaf aa2 of vol. 3, and the bookplate and autograph, dated 1869, of Henry Charles Lea on the endpapers of vol. 3.
- Vol. 3 bound at Heilbronn in early pigskin over wood boards; blind tooled with fillet borders and center panel; title written on vellum and attached to front board; with metal floral corners and center piece; two metal and leather clasps (one wanting); with metal piece for attaching a chain on top back board; five raised bands on spine; double headbands.
