Summary:

In the Austro-Hungarian Empire in 1882, a young girl is mysteriously drowned in the river Tisza. Jewish raftsmen are accused of the crime. At the trial, one of sons of a religious Jew is forced by the district attorney to testify against his own father. Based on an actual event.
