This is the first-ever translation into English of the Onomasticon by Eusebius, Bishop of Caesarea in Palestine (ca. A.D. 260-339), in parallel with Jerome's Latin translation and expansion of the same work, from the edition of Erich Klostermann. Eusebius endeavoured to list every place mentioned in the Bible and locate each one in the lands he knew.
