- Summary:
- In settings where immediate outcome feedback is not available, organizations face a distinct learning challenge, known as the credit assignment problem (Minsky, 1961; Holland, 1975): how to assign credit for the overall outcome of a sequence of actions to each of the individual actions? This dissertation draws on research on artificial intelligence to shed light on these issues in the context of firm strategy and decision making.
