Culture Class Collection copy 1, vol. 1 has the 5th illustration (unnumbered), "And they all marched out of the room, each with his own glass", with no face-page number on the List of Illustrations, facing p. 48.
Culture Class Collection copy 1, vol. 2 is third issue. The placing of the two last illustrations and the underline of one of them are altered. Thus, the plate entitled 'Farewell' in the first issue showing Sir Peregrine Orme and Lady Mason, and facing p. 305, is underlined 'Sir Peregrine Orme's great love' and bound to face p. 311; while the second plate entitled 'Farewell' in the first issue, remains so underlined, but is bound to face p. 305. The list of illustrations shows these alterations.--Cf. Sadleir.
Culture Class Collection copy 1 has bookplate of Edith, Countess of Loudoun, Baroness Hastings &c&c 1872.
Culture Class Collection copy 2, vol. 1 has list of illustrations bound before the contents. All illustrations prior to that on p. 98 are wanting as are those on p. 201, 216, 257 and 306. The illustration on p. 289 as been used as the frontispiece.
Culture Class Collection copy 2, vol. 2 imperfect: three illustrations wanting (p. 126, 247 and 265). The final two illustrations are both underlined 'Farewell' but in the list of illustrations are titled 'Farewell' and 'Sir Peregrine's great love'.
Culture Class Collection copy 2 has autograph of Henry H. Bonnell.
