Venetijs impressu[m] per Bernardinum de Benalijs Bergomensem. 1485. vltima die me[n]sis Nouembris. Laus omnipotenti deo.
Chancery quarto, printed in double columns. Leaf a1r: 39 lines to a full column; area of text: 152 x 101 mm.; col. width: 49 mm. Initial spaces; printed initials and paragraph marks. Some headings, initials and paragraph marks printed in red. With signatures and foliation ("96 leaves; leaves 7-96 numbered 3-92"--BM 15th cent.; f. 7-8 unnumbered and f. 79 numbered "97"); without catchwords. Floriate woodcut initials (ca. 21 x 20 mm.) on leaves c1v, c4v, d7v, e4v, e6v, f4r, g2v, k3v and k7r.

Purchased for the Penn Libraries in 1962.
Penn Libraries copy has on leaf A1r two oval stamps ("BIBLIOTHECA GYMNASII REG. & GROENING STARGARD I/POM."), 1 partially effaced, of the library of the Königliches und Groening'sches Gymnasium of Stargard in Pommern (now Stargard Szczeciński) and one round stamp (inscription effaced).
Penn Libraries copy bound in contemporary full blind-tooled calf(?) over beveled-edge wooden boards; pastedowns wanting (evidence of early printed leaf used as binder's waste on inside right board); 3 raised bands on spine; paper label with printed shelf-mark ("179") on spine; evidence of 2 leather and metal clasps; 2 metal catchplates affixed to fore-edge of left board; evidence of chain hasp at head of right board.
