Album comprised of portraits, some by F. Gutekunst and C. H. Spieler of Philadelphia, Pa.; some made in Vienna, Berlin, and other cities in Europe. Includes a number of carte de viste scenes of Venice and Rome, Italy, a few of Paris and other cities; some are photographs of famous works of art. Other photographs include a few famous individuals, and some United States Civil War officers; many photographs are not identified and not dated.

One portrait has the inscription,"To my lifelong friend, Dr. St. John W. Mintzer with compliments of Thos. H. Lynn[?] Born Feb. 19, 1829; Jan. 2, 1892. One photograph of a child is identified as Laura Michener.
