Summary:
Compendium of astronomical information and tables compiled from Thomas Streete's Astronomia Carolina and other sources. Includes several tables of solar eclipses visible in Leicestershire to 1999, plus tables of logarithms; includes detailed table of contents [ix-xiii]. Treatise on sundials is written from the back to the front, reversed, in the same hand. Blank pages in the center of the book were used for veterinary recipes, accounts, death and marriage notices (1835-1837), and a history of the manor "Milton" in Milton, Somersetshire.

Script: Astronomical texts written in a cursive script by a single hand, with the middle section written in several additional hands.
Decoration: Pen and ink diagrams of the solar system, diagrams of planetary motion and calculations of longitude; 8 pen and ink diagrams of sundial geometry.
Binding: Contemporary parchment.
Origin: Written in England, 1740-1838.
Three leaves laid in, dated 1752, 1779, 1784, and one undated leaf tipped in, 19th century[?].
