Summary:
Little Toomai dreams of becoming the best mahout and hunter of elephants of all time. He talks his way into an elephant hunting party but his father is killed by a tiger. Toomai's elephant dislikes the new handler he is assigned and injures him. Toomai fearing they will destroy him as a rogue leaves camp with the elephant and is led to where he witnesses the elephants dance and earns the respect of men and elephants.
