Winner in Italy of the highly acclaimed Viareggio Prize, "People on the Run (Gente di cora), "is a work that explores, through a presentation of multiple voices and character types, the broad makeup of contemporary Italy.
With this year's prize, the Italian government supported translations of this book in numerous languages, including Chinese, Czech, German, French, and English. In an open competition, sponsored by the Italian Cultural Institute, Paul Vangelisti was chosen as this year's American translator, and Green Integer as the American publisher of the book.
Among Tiziano Rossi's numerous other publications in Italian are "Pare che il Paradiso, Miele e no "and "Il movimento dell'adagio, "all published by the noted publishing house Garzanti.
