- Summary:
- Nordeen (a business manager at Boeing) describes the development of air warfare from the Vietnam War to the wars in the Balkans in the 1990s. He synthesizes discussion of combat tactics and developments, technological issues and advancements, and political/military background and how they all impacted air combat. Aside from the wars mentioned above, other conflicts discussed include the Indian and Pakistani wars over Kashmir and Bangladesh, Arab-Israeli conflicts of the late 1960s and early 1970s, the Falkland Islands War between the UK and Argentina, the Iran-Iraq war, and the first Gulf War.
