"The maps [on CD-ROM] are in color and maps 2-19 are in a scale of 1:500,000. The maps are designed as TIFF files and can be easily edited and printed using a graphic program. The indices are Microsoft Access files. As font Arial Unicode MS was chosen in order to be able to write the geographical names according to the standards of German scientific transliterations of Near Eastern Semitic languages. A number of reports were added to the Access file. The user can easily design her/his own reports, sorting the data according to names, periods or locations"--ReadMe file.
