Notes:
Contains three lithographs: a t.p. depicting a pinnacle surmounted by a rock round which are a river and trees, a colored lithograph of an easel and mountains and lithograph of vampire flying over railway track which vanishes into the mountain.
The outside of the end leaves is colored light greenish yellow and lettered across the front in black. The pamphlet is issued in a strong pink envelope lettered in black: 'An Ariel Poem--Mountains by W.H. Auden; illustrated by Edward Bawden.' Price 2/- net.--Cf. Bloomfield.
Published 16 October 1954 in an edition of 10,000 copies. A remainder of 4,400 copies was sold to W. Heffer & Sons in June 1971."
