Summary:
Based on the book by Agnes Newton Keith, in 1941 the writer tries to escape from Borneo, but is interned and ill-used by the Japanese. Her fight to protect her son and join her husband in separate camp, give hope to the other captives. Her determination, torture and brutal hardships provide a true gripping story.
