"The printing of this book was completed in January 1988 by Nicolas McDowall at The Old Stile Press, Catchmays Court, Llandogo, nr Monmouth, Gwent ... The Bell type was set by Bill Hughes and the binding is by Woolnough Fine Binding ... The main edition ... consists of 225 numbered copies, signed by the artist. In addition there is a special edition ... of twenty-six lettered copies which have, contained in a portfolio, proofs of each of the wood-engravings together with one which does not appear in the book. This is [blank]"--Colophon.
"Bell type. Monotype set by Bill Hughes. Printed on Zerkall Halbmatt mould-made paper on a Victoria platen press. 19 wood engravings printed from the wood. Bound by Woolnough Fine Binding. Japanese raw silk spine with red leather title label blocked in gilt, boards covered with patterned paper, designed by the artist, printed blue on red. Plum coloured Colorplan endpapers. to edge gilt, fore- edge and tail uncut. Slipcase covered in brown cloth with inset of printed wood engraving repeated from the text. 225 copies, signed by the artist. 26 special copies issued with a portfolio containing a set of the wood engravings plus one extra wood engraving, signed by the artist. Bound by Woolnough Fine Binding. Quarter red leather, boards covered as in the ordinary edition. Portfolio in matching binding. Slipcase covered in handwoven Japanese raw silk."--Harrop.
