- The film tells how the Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) used the Kutch earthquake of Jan. 26, 2001 to disposess the local villagers of their lignite rich land under the guise of giving aid. The film shows how the corporation works with and through the state, an example of the corporatization of democracy in India.
