- There are two known editions of this work in the same year distinguished not only by setting of type, but by variations on the title page. For a description of each edition, see McCoy, J.C. Jesuit relations, 28-30. There are also two variants within McCoy's "Second Edition" which are described in McCoy, J.C. Jesuit relations, 29-30.
- This is what McCoy describes as "Second Edition" in which the 5th line of the title page is in smaller type than the other edition, the 8th line ends "Iesus", and Le Jeune's forename is spelled "Paul". This is McCoy's "Variant One" in which p. 41, 2nd count is correctly numbered; p. 41, 1st count, line 1 ends "ordinas-" and line 2 ends "le".
