Hakluyt's dedicatory epistle to Walter Raleigh is dated Paris, 22 Feb. 1587. In it he states that the he used the complete Complutum (1530) edition as the basis of his own, with corrections, the addition of notes and an index as well as a map. (See leaf ã3v). In this copy the map is present in facsimile.
