- The wording of the "Relation" is very similar to (in many instances identical with) that of a "Relation du voyage des foundatrices de la Nouvelle Orleans, ecrite aux Uraulines de France, par le premiere supe rieure, la mere St. Augustin", which is included in the "Relation du voyage des premieres Uralines a la Nouvelle Orleans" by Marie Tranchepain de St. Augustin, pub. by J. G. Shea, New York, 1859. In the opinion of the editor, m. Gravier, both accounts were written by Marie Hachard under instructions from the mother superior of the convent, Mother St. Augustin.
