This "Relation" was compiled from various letters and memoirs. There are two letters by Paul Ragueneau (p. 6-19 & p. 22-29) followed by a journal of what occurred between the French and the savages, composed from other letters and memoirs, including one letter by Simon le Moine (p. 29-58).
There are two known variants of this work: one in which the head-line on p. 41 reads "és années 1657 & 1658", and the other in which the same head-line reads "és années 1657. & 16 8".
