- Summary:
- Taking issue with the waves of attention devoted to the architecture of Northern and Central Europe, Eduard Bru focuses on Southern Europe's recent architectural developments. Proposing a reflection on the present and immediate future buildings of Spain, Greece, Italy, and other countries, Bru uses parameters different from those that pervade the bulk of European architectural criticism. Not limited to strict divisions of Northern and Southern Europe, his analysis is transportable to cover the urban planning and architectural issues that arise from the global distinctions between North and South, as these relate to divisions of continents, climates, and levels of economic development. He presents his own projects and those of his colleagues as examples of how buildings attain a highly meaningful presence within the landscape.
