- Summary:
- How does one create architecture in Las Vegas? This is the central question Tate & Snyders Architects have been asking themselves for the last four decades, concentrating more and more on the design of civic, educational and public buildings. They have used the design to make a civic language in a territory that is only just now reaching density of inhabitation sufficient to allow a particular identity to emerge. By fragmenting their building, by amplifying the rich desert colors present in the valley in which they work, and by articulating public spaces within structural webs, they are beginning to develop a built civic form in Las Vegas, Nevada.
