- Imprint from Latin and Greek colophons (leaf 2[Chi]7v). The Greek colophon wrongly gives the date as '1447'.
- Signatures: 2a[2alpha]-2z[2psi]¹⁰ 2&[2omega]¹⁰ 2[Alpha]-2[Pi]¹⁰ 2[Rho]²(2[Rho]1+'2[Rho]'¹⁰) 2[Sigma]-2[Psi]¹⁰ 2[Chi]⁸ 2[cross]⁸ (2[Rho]2, 2[Chi]8 blank).
- Quire 2[Rho] consists of a 10-leaf quire signed '2[Rho]', around which has been wrapped a bifolium signed '2[Rho]', which supplies (on leaf 2[Rho]1r only) text inadvertently omitted. Cf. BM 15th cent.
- BM cites variant copy with leaf 2[Beta]2 signed 2[Gamma]2.
- Numerous errors in foliation.
- Super-chancery folio. 30 lines, plus head-line, to a full page; area of text: 219 (230) x 130 mm. With signatures, foliation and catchwords. Rubrication not called for.
- A line of text omitted at the foot of leaf 2[kappa]10v has been printed on a separate slip and pasted in.
- Woodcut headpieces and initials.
- Includes 19 tracts of Aristotle (some not genuine), and 5 of Theophrastus.
- Local Notes:
- Bound by Bozerian, le jeune, in full red morocco with gold-tooled spine, borders and turn-ins; 5 raised double bands on spine with title stamped in gold; marbled endpapers; gilt edges; double headbands; pale blue silk marker.
- Provenance: bookplate of Graf Alekseĭ Sergeevich Uvarov (1828-1884) on front paste-down endpaper; stamp and shelfmark from the Biblioteca universitaria di Padova ("Pubblica libreria di Pad." "Loce. in pluteo 9. no. 79" (inked over)) on t.p.
- The leaves of the last gathering have been separated and reattached at inner margin.
- Imperfect: leaf 2[Rho]2 (blank) wanting.
