- Summary:
- This volume is a parctical, easily assessible guide to the evaluation and treatment of neurologic problems in older adults. The book is organizedso that clinicians can quickly look up either a patient's symptom(s) or a disease, and includes many helpful medication charts and diagnostic alogorithms. Section 1 details the neurologic workup and discusses age-related problems that can complicate diagnosis and treatment. Section 2 focuses on common neurologic signs and symptoms, and Section 3 covers specific disease entities. A key feature of the book is extensive cross-referenceing between symptom-oriented and disease-oriented chapters. Section 4 addresses the psychosocial issues confronting older adults.
