Summary:
In preparation for an article in the magazine Music and Musicians, Stokowski discusses his memories of London, performance of new music, technical standards of orchestras in the past, his teachers at the Royal Academy, audience perception of the spirit of music, the acoustics of Albert Hall, and Stravinsky's Rite of Spring. He mentions Hans Richter, Hubert Parry, Charles Stanford, Gustav Holst, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Thomas Beecham, Panufnik, and Charles Ives.
