- Staff member of Philadelphia Orchestra library and assistant to Stokowski.
- Summary:
- Shear discusses how she met and got to know Stokowski in Philadelphia after 1960; how she worked for Stokowski in New York while working for the Philadelphia Orchestra; how Stokowski discarded correspondence from composers; and how she visited him in England and France at the end of his life. She mentions Eugene Ormandy, Stokowski's secretary Jean Leslie, and Philadelphia Orchestra librarian Jesse Tayton.
