- Brown discusses her experiences working for Stokowski at the City Center and in California in the 1940s; a story of how he persuaded her to buy a good viola; Stokowski's visit to Scranton to be a guest conductor; Stokowski's visit to Havana, conflict with Erich Kleiber, and pick-up concert there; and Stokowski's evasion of the wedding of one of his daughters.
