- Summary:
- Shumsky describes his memories of attending Philadelphia Orchestra concerts while growing up, of playing under Stokowski as a very young soloist, and of serving as his concertmaster for some Victor recordings. He compares the conducting styles of Stokowski and Toscanini. He also mentions Kondrashin, Bernstein, and Steinberg.
