- Jalas reminisces about Sibelius and discusses the first meeting of Stokowski and Sibelius in Finland; Sibelius' opinion of a Stokowski performance of his fourth symphony; Stokowski's visit to a Russian Orthodox monastery to learn about Russian Orthodox singing; his own memories of Stokowski's rehearsal and performance in Helsinki of Sibelius' first symphony; Toscanini's recording of Sibelius' second symphony; and his experience guest conducting the American Symphony Orchestra and Stokowski's gracious response. He mentions Stewart Warkow and Robert Kajanus.
