Summary:
Lawrence discusses his memories of Stokowski conducting the London Symphony Orchestra and gives examples of his interactions with members of the orchestra, including an anecdote about principal double bass player Stuart Knussen. He also shares his memories of Stokowski conducting the concert celebrating the 60th anniversary of the orchestra, in which Romanian violinist Silvia Marcovici was the soloist. He mentions Dorati, Tony D'Amato, and Edward Heath.
