- Summary:
- Johnson remembers the negotiations with Andrew Schulhof which brought Stokowski to conduct the Houston Symphony; Stokowski's programming of contemporary music and the public's reaction to it; Stokowski's thorough planning, punctuality, and organization; rehearsals of the orchestra; Stokowski's love of his sons Stan and Chris and desire for them to live in Houston with him; and his divorce from Gloria Vanderbilt.
