Summary:
Chou descibes listening to Stokowski recordings; meeting Colin McPhee in New York; studying with Edgard Varèse and working on translations with Louise Varèse for his composition Landscapes; submitting his score to Stokowski; corresponding with Stokowski; discussing Tibetan and Chinese music with him; Stokowski's interest in his other works; and Chou's opinion of Stokowski's Bach transcriptions.
Chou also relates how his wife Yi-an Chang auditioned for Stokowski for his Hollywood Bowl concerts in 1945.
Daniel's research notes include photocopies of 8 items from Stokowski to Chou, 1950-1953, and 2 items from Chou to Stokowski, 1960, folder 101.
