- Menotti discusses Stokowski's influence on him when Menotti was a student at the Curtis Institute of Music; Toscanini's opinions of Stokowski; Stokowski's ability to create sound; Stokowski's recordings and performances of Menotti's compositions including Amahl and the Night Visitors with choreography by George Balanchine; and Stokowski's maturity as a musician but difficulties with eyesight and memory in his later years.
