- Roger Hall discusses meeting Stokowski in 1959; Stokowski's return to conduct the Philadelphia Orchestra; conducting Schoenberg's Gurrelieder; an anecdote about Khatchaturian, and one about Stokowski meeting Harpo Marx. He also mentions Walt Disney, Maria Callas, Van Cliburn, Skitch Henderson, Eugene Ormandy, Leonard Bernstein, Arnold Schoenberg, Shirley Verrett, Birgit Nilsson and Boris Christoff. Hall discusses Stokowski's professionalism, preparation, mystique, working relationships, recordings for RCA, and an anecdote about Stokowski's opinion on divorce.
