Summary:
Miller discusses Stokowski's conducting of Orff's Carmina Burana at Boston University and Carnegie Hall in 1954; Stokowski conducting the Manhattan Percussion Ensemble in one of Miller's compositions for percussion; Stokowski's rehearsals and his ability to get performers to play better than expected, especially young musicians in his Youth Orchestra.
