A printed pamphlet of the dissertation of Paul Mayer, Disputatio philosophica de universali logico, is bound at the front of the volume.
Title page of pamphlet: Disputatio philosophica de universali logico, in alma et Catholica Ingolstadiensi Academia publice proposita, die 17 Decembr. Anno M. DC. VIII. Praeside Christophoro Steborio, Societatis Iesu, philosophiæ professore ordinario. Respondente reverendo et erudito domino Paulo Mayer Miespachensi, physicæ studioso, & ad S. Viti in Herrieden Canonico. Ingolstadii. Ex officina typographica Ederiana, apud Andream Angermarium.
The commentary's progression through an introduction and the treatises comprising most of the Logic (Categoriae, De interpretatione, De priore resolutione, and De posteriori analysi) is interrupted by a consideration of the Isagoge of Porphyry, an introduction to the Categoriae, which is inserted before that treatise.
